Mark KizilosMark Kizilos, Ph.D.

 

Mark Kizilos joined the Carlson School of Management as Assistant Dean of Executive Education in May, 2008. Previously, he was Vice President of Talent Management and Thomson University for The Thomson Corporation. In this role, Mark served as the chief architect of Thomson’s talent management process, which has been cited as a best practice by the Harvard Business Review and others.

 

Before joining Thomson in 2003, Mark headed the leadership development function for CVS/pharmacy and worked as a consultant with the Center for Leadership Solutions and the Hay Group. His consulting clients have included companies such as PepsiCo, Delta Air Lines, Royal Bank of Canada, WellPoint Health Networks, and Target. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mark was an assistant professor on the business faculty at the University of Alberta. He has published numerous articles on effective HRD practices, and is a frequent speaker on talent management and leadership development.

Mark has a Ph.D. in Management and Organization from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota
